We love eating pound cake at tea time. This is why we decided we had to make Sugar and Spice pound cakes, to enjoy the best around the clock. We are proud to present our pound cake collection:
Super Chocolate Pound Cake: I guess our belief is that more of the best is better. It was not enough for us to make the most chocolaty pound cake you can imagine. We had to add chocolate chips into the dough and why not? We also frosted it with the best chocolate. (Oh, well, everybody does try to steel the frosting before the pound cake is finished. That is the only problem we have found with it.)
"Budín inglés": We love what in Argentina is known as "Budín inglés". It is the same one my aunt Lidia made when I was a kid: it even had walnuts and raisins soaked in cognac... And this is the reason we bake it. Because it is Argentine and we want it to be yummy.
Banana Walnut Pound Cake: Americans have several classic combinations, one of them is banana walnut. It is used for muffins and pound cakes. We wanted to offer it in Argentina. Give it a try and tell us what you think!
Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake: This is also an American Classic. We love it because it is yummy, light, almost ingenuous. But it has an interesting personality. Try it... |
